Aspiring Principal Program
The Aspiring Principal Program (APP) is as a yearlong program offering world-class preparation to leaders who seek to become a principal in the Permian Basin region of Texas and New Mexico in the next 1-3 years. This program is intended for leaders who have completed or nearly completed their principal certification and are eager to continue their strategic, hands-on preparation to enter an ever-changing and complex campus principal position. Aspiring principals will gain hands-on experience by visiting schools across Texas led by excellent principals, work with a dedicated coach who provides guidance and feedback to support leadership growth, and attend in-person learning sessions that include simulations of real-world scenarios and opportunities for individual and group reflections. All of these learning experiences will transfer into real world principal-level application on your home campus. This program will require dedication of time and energy, in addition to the willingness to examine your current practices in order to grow.

APP Application Timeline

  1. This application will close on February 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM CST.
  2. The scheduling of interviews for the next round will occur in late February. Candidates who move forward will be invited to engage in a brief interview with Holdsworth staff during the month of March 2026.
  3. Holdsworth will establish MOUs with the district of each selected candidate during the month of April.
  4. Once MOUs are established, selected candidates will be invited to join Cohort 2 of the Aspiring Principal program during the month of May.
  5. Asynchronous enrollment and orientation course will follow in preparation for the first learning Session beginning in July 2026.

Aspiring Superintendent Accelerator
Thank you for your interest in the Holdsworth Aspiring Superintendent Accelerator!

The Aspiring Superintendent Accelerator (ASA) is a 15-month program designed for district leaders who have the superintendent certification and plan to pursue the superintendency in the next 2-3 years. Learning focuses on communication, working with boards, managing public presence, investing stakeholders in a long-term vision and more. Leaders apply learning on the job, sharing the results with their executive coach – one of Holdsworth’s Superintendents-in-Residence—and getting advice on how to hone their approach. In partnership with their superintendent, leaders tackle superintendent-level projects in their districts, gaining practical experience and developing skills in the most challenging aspects of leading a school district. This program will require dedication of time and energy, in addition to the willingness to examine your current practices and reflect in order to grow.

Instructions
Please complete the application by June 8, 2026. Finalists from the application round will be invited to an interview. Selected candidates for Cohort 3 will be notified by mid-October with the program beginning in January 2027.

The Campus Leadership Program (CLP) is as 2-year learning journey for principals and their teams to become stronger leaders and drive positive change for students on their campus. This program will require dedication of time and energy, in addition to the willingness to examine your current practices and reflect in order to grow. CLP Application Timeline
  1. This application form will be open from January 5-30, 2026.
  2. Selected campuses will be invited to join the Campus Leadership Program in late February 2026.
  3. Memorandum of Understanding and Enrollment will follow in preparation for the first session in July 2026.
